KALOLENI ELECTED NEW LEADERS

Early in the morning many people gathered at Kaloleni Primary School to vote.
While others were voting, the elders could not withstand to stand in the quee for a long time.
The election on sunday went so peaceful, the turn out was somehow good. Kaloleni people voted and elected their leaders democratically. In Kaloleni Ward, there are two sub-locations where people elected leaders.
The first sub-location, CCM contestant won against CHADEMA contestant. Here at Kaloleni Street, Mr. Moulid Hussein Kimey won with 371 votes against 266 votes for CHADEMA. In another street, Kalimani, the CHADEMA contestant against CCM man.
With these results, it means that at Kaloleni Ward will be led by two opposing political parties.

Two days ago, the whole country of Tanzania held local election to get the new leaders for the next five years.At Kaloleni Ward, there are two streets (sub-locations) where in each, people voted for their Chairpersons and five members to make a new look executive council of the street.
Here the election involved mainly two Political Parties: CCM the ruling party in Tanzania and CHADEMA the defacto opposition party in Tanzania currently. You can see some of the images of the day and also the results.

KALOLENI ON FRONT PAGES IN THE USA NEWSPAPER
Just to let all people to know that with the visitors we received in july, Kaloleni Primary School and in general Kaloleni Ward has hit the World over. Can you imagine, we were on the front pages in one of the Daily papers of Montana States. Here is for you to see what they are saying about us. Currently, the whole of the country is in an election fever where the citizen are registering ready for the vote to be held on 25th October, 2009. It's the local government election where people are to elect the leaders that will lead them for five years. The above pictures show the events together with the progress of the Ward Dispensary construction.

KALOLENI LEADERS VISIT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
The Ward Councilor, together with the two chairpersons of the two sub-location in Kaloleni Ward visiting the ongoing construction of the Ward Dispensary.
The Ward councilor(arm on the ear) following closely the chairperson of irrigation scheme construction committee about the progress of the work. The scheme is expected to serve about 300 rice farmers .
The Ward councilor inspecting the newly constructed residence for teachers at Msasani Secondary School, the only public secondary school in the Kaloleni Ward. The house is now used by teachers. Standing with him is the second mistress of the school.
